BECOME AN iOS 15 GENIUS

By the time you read this, or at the very least very soon after, the iOS 15 update should be with us and that magic exclamation mark should appear over our Settings app icon to signify that the update is ready to install (go to Settings>General>Software Update to initiate it). Many features in iOS 15 are universal across iOS and macOS – meaning that we have covered some of the marquee features in the previous two issues, including the extensive new enhancements to FaceTime. We’ll provide a rundown of the standout features that we’ve covered before below, leaving us more space to really delve into the finer nuances of iOS 15 across the following pages. Top 5 new features

We’ve already talked about these a lot over the previous two issues, but here is a quick rundown of the most significant new additions to iOS 15

1 SharePlay

A new feature that allows users to share experiences on FaceTime calls, such as listening to Apple Music together or watching a movie through Apple TV. Includes shared playback controls.

2 FaceTime Links

You can now create a link to a FaceTime call and share it through Messages, Mail, Calendar or other third-party apps. These links can also be opened through a web browser so nonApple users can join in.

3 Shared with You

Content sent to you over Messages automatically appears in a new ‘Shared with You’ section in the corresponding app, so you can enjoy it when it is convenient to you.

4 Interactive globe

The Maps app boasts some significant improvements, like zooming out to a fully-interactive globe, new driving features and much more information at your fingertips.

5 More Memories
