Little White Lies

Boyz in the Wood

Directed by NINIAN DOFF

Starring EDDIE IZZARD, KATE DICKIE, JAMES COSMO

Released 7 AUGUST

If there’s a movie sub genre that makes you want to run for the hills, it’s horror-comedy. A doff of the cap to those is a scuzzy slapstick jaunt across the Scottish Highlands in the company of three ne’er-do-well oiks who have been plucked from their school and forcibly enrolled into the Duke of Edinburgh outdoor pursuits scheme. Their mad-eyed schoolmaster would seem to be aware of some bloody end to their endeavour, and so they have to combine their severely limited skill sets to overcome all manner of beastly tribulations. Luckily, they have loner bod Ian (Samuel Bottomley) in their team, who helps to guide them away from torment as much as he is able to.
