Stitch Workshop Weave Stitch

As the name suggests, Weave Stitch incorporates the method of weaving into your embroidery. Essentially, you make a foundation of parallel lines using your thread, running horizontally or vertically, across the space you wish to fill, then you weave a second length of thread under and over these lines to create the woven texture. How closely you work these lines together is up to you. You can work them sparsely to create a grid-like pattern, or densely together, as we have, to create a basket texture. Turn the page to try
