Making a cup of tea, I quickly glanced through the living-room door at my three kids, Isabel, five, and twin sons Jason and Jaxon, three, as they lay sprawled across the floor, crayons and paper everywhere, drawing pictures and colouring in. It was such a simple scene, but my husband Jason Snr, 36, and I never took for granted just how lucky we were. We’d come so close to losing all three of our children, and not a day went by that we didn’t remind ourselves of that.
