Space travel has been in the spotlight lately, thanks to its line-up of billionaire crew members. In July, the world witnessed the successful launch of Virgin Galactic’s fully-crewed test flight—with its 70-year-old founder Richard Branson onboard—proving that space flights could be privatised and open to adventurous travellers with deep pockets.
He was the first among his coterie of billionaire peers who were ready to test their own rocket, along with his brother Mark Bezos, accomplished 82-year-old aviator Wally Funk, and 18-year-old Oliver Daemen, who now holds the record for the youngest person to have flown to space.
