THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL SHOWS SHE IS NOT A VERSE TO CAKE
As a literacy advocate, the Duchess of Cornwall knows the value of reading and rhyming. So when it was announced that the Poetry Together initiative would be back next month – bringing together schoolchildren and care-home residents via verse (and cake) – she was keen to get a slice of the action. Along with revealing plans to attend a Poetry Together tea party, Camilla also helped ensure it had the ingredients for success, sharing her recipe for one of her favourite bakes: Victoria sponge. In a photo (left) posted on the official Clarence House Instagram, account she proudly showed her jam, strawberries and cream-filled creation.
