Can I get more expensive replacement under warranty?

Q I bought a £249.99 Wi-Fi-enabled ‘smart’ microwave from Currys’ website in 2014, paying £49.99 for a five-year extended warranty that offered repair or replacement. I renewed this in December 2019, and since then the microwave has stopped working. Currys said it was beyond repair, so I looked for a replacement, but there were none available. I’ve now found one, but it costs £349.99 – £100 more than the original price. Am I entitled to this under the warranty?
