DENNY ABBEY FAR MLAND MUSEUM

The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey are located in a countryside setting around three miles to the north of Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire on a site settled by farmers in Roman times.

Mission

Its long mission statement aims to enable a wider audience to take part in and enjoy the museum’s work, allowing every individual to gain an understanding of rural life as it was in Cambridgeshire until it changed at an increasing rate during the mid-20th century. It also aims to collect, document, preserve and interpret collections of rural life in South Cambridgeshire to nationally approved accreditation standards for future generations.

It boasts approximately 8000-10,000 visitors per year from all over England and indeed the world, but mostly from the South Cambridgeshire and Ely
