Nalda Searles is one of Western Australia’s leading artists who was a key figure in the development of contemporary sculpture, fibre, and textile art in Australia. She played a pivotal role in an art movement, which sourced Australian plant fibre and found objects from the landscape for the making of art.
‘Finders Keepers’ presents works from Searle’s 40-year career in art, which highlights her innovative and influential approach to craft making, a practice deeply connected to the histories and landscapes of regional Western Australia.
