AS A TEENAGER, I LOVED tennis, javelin, lacrosse and even shot put and discus. I thought sport was fun and I loved having fun, but as soon as any coach tried to tell me I had potential to compete, I stepped away. Exercise made me smile and that’s all I wanted from it. After school, I didn’t have time for sport.
A year after I graduated university, I got into a toxic relationship.
