'63 Ford Man

You may love full-size 1963 Fords, but you can’t possibly love them more than John Vetter of North Lake, Wis. Vetter was just 9 years old when the restyled 1963 Fords were new, and he was so smitten with them as a child, he clipped newspaper and magazine ads advertising how “Ford presents America’s liveliest, most care-free cars” and built cars “For the man who wants everything.” Indeed, the 1963 Fords had everything Vetter needed, and he drove them everyday — winter or summer — until 1997. Even though he doesn’t know why he likes 1963 Fords so much, he co-founded with Ken Finley the Super ‘60’s Car Club in 1980 to feature the full-size 1960-1964 Ford.
