Tips for AdBlue: Out of the blue surprise…

Ever since Massey Ferguson introduced the 8600 tractors with an SCR unit to help kerb emissions way back in 2008, more and more manufacturers have followed suit. These catalytic converters need an injection of AdBlue in order to treat the exhaust gases as they leave the stack.

So, the question is not only how best to store AdBlue (see ‘Tips for handling AdBlue’), but also what a DEF filling station on your farm could look like. But before we get to that, here is some general information on the liquid.
