Well, hasn’t it been good to get out. I have spent three days on the road at various sales and finished at the Marshall Club’s excellent Marshall’s Yard event on Sunday 25 July at Gainsborough.
There were some 40 of the breed on show, including John Stephenson’s late 1930 7hp traction engine No. 85620 that he has just put up for sale and the Ducksbury’s wonderful 1900 Marshall 10 ton steam roller No. 34042 that has been with them since 1968.
