WHAT IS COP26?

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the 26th such annual gathering to discuss climate change. COP is the key decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which has an international remit to stabilise and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Rolled over by a year because of Covid-19, Cop26 will be attended by heads of state and environment ministers.
