ashmir rowan is an unusual species native to the Himalayas. The blooms start in April or May and come in white or pink clusters, followed by pure white berries that persist into winter. Though it tolerates most soils, with stunning berries have been developed by hybridizing with . ‘Carpets of Gold’ bears yellow fruit; ‘Maiden’s Blush’, pale pink fruits; ‘Kristen Pink’, dark pink. Zones 3–6.
