WHY HER: Not yet 21, she’s already held her own opposite the likes of Kate Winslet and Kirsten Dunst. As one of Australia’s most thrilling young screen stars, Angourie is part of the new Hollywood vanguard pushing boundaries and delivering breathtaking performances. Next year is set to be even bigger for the Mare of Easttown talent, who will star in the Netflix series Senior Year alongside Rebel Wilson.
FUTURE FORCE: Like many Aussie greats who came before her – cover star Nicole Kidman among them – Angourie has her sights set on producing. “That’s where you can really make a difference in choosing which stories are elevated and shared,” she says. “We’re already seeing a shift in diversity and inclusion in the film industry, and I’d love to be a part of that change.”
BY THE WAY: She’s recently added the title of master knitter to her burgeoning CV. “I started during lockdown with a scarf, but now I’ve progressed on to socks and jumpers! Socks are my favourite to knit – great for chilly Melbourne winters.”
