EDITOR’S LETTER

That noise? Champagne corks popping across Sydney as the marie claire team celebrate our 25th birthday, albeit from our homes in lockdown. It wasn’t exactly how we planned to toast our anniversary, but welcome to 2021, where life’s painful unpredictabilities have become the norm.

Before I introduce you to this 252-page celebratory tome, I Australia in fact launched in late 1995, meaning we were supposed to toast turning 25 year – until COVID foiled our plans. Like many who reached milestones in 2020, we opted to postpone the party for 12 months and squeeze in our celebration now as our 25th year nears a close. So welcome to our delayed bumper birthday edition – we hope it was worth the wait!
