1 Start Lay-by on A4067 just north of Tafarn-y-Garreg pub GR: SN849171

Cross road and follow waymarked Beacons Way opposite pub, soon crossing footbridge over River Tawe. Path continues alongside river for short distance, then turns L through gate and carries on to stile, open hillside (access land) beyond.

2 Keep ahead up rough grassy slopes, quite steeply at first, gradient easing higher up. Path follows long grassy escarpment of Fan Hir, Llyn
