CHEVROLET C10

“HAVING been into slammed and custom cars and US-style mini-trucks for some time, it was no surprise that this 1965 C10 grabbed my attention when I saw it laid out at Kustomnats many years ago. Fast-forward a few years and I saw it advertised for sale on Facebook. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I was on the phone in an instant and in no time flat a deal was done. The C10 is largely unchanged from when I purchased it. It runs a 350 Chev with a Thumpr cam, four-into-one extractors and a 650 Holley carby. That is backed by a Turbo 350 trans with a small stall converter, and a slip-yolk tailshaft mated to the standard diff. Wheels are 15x6 all ’round with radial whitewall tyres and ’61 Bel Air hubcaps. The super-cool stance is a result of airbag suspension, a mild body drop, rear chassis notch, and a drop stub and disc-brake conversion on the front.
