WE ARE USED to seeing Jonathan Rea (KRT) win races at Assen. So much so that when he won all three on the weekend, after securing Superpole in dramatic fashion, the main takeaway was nothing to do with JR at all. It was the latest incident involving Garrett Gerloff (GRT Yamaha) and his inexplicable collisions with other riders.

That incident ended badly for championship challenger, the rider who led going into this weekend, Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha with Brixx) after his fellow Yamaha rider Gerloff clattered into him in the very first corner of Race Two.
