Yes, the Game Boy and Game Boy Pocket were both great, but they both suffered from one major problem – while the lights were off. This flaw was rectified by the Game Boy Light, which added a backlight for late-night fun. The form factor of the system is similar to that of the Game Boy Pocket, but with a bulging battery compartment to accommodate AA batteries rather than the Pocket’s AAA batteries. They’d give you about 20 hours of game time with the light off, and 12 with it turned on.
