The Maiden Factor’s new tack

Yachtswoman Tracy Edwards has announced that The Maiden Factor will focus on getting girls into science, technology, engineering and maths – STEM – subjects when Maiden resumes her world tour.

Edwards skippered the 58ft into the history books when she completed the 1989/90 Whitbread Round the World Race with the first all-female was sold at the end of the race and while Edwards went onto run further all-female crews, deteriorated, ending up dumped in the Seychelles.
