RICH ORIGINS

The small coastal town of Cattolica in northern Italy, 200 miles south-east of Milan, where Alberta Ferretti was born, remains a constant impetus to her creative flow. “Living in this environment has always influenced my style,” says the designer, who has never let the glamour of the fashion industry dazzle her. “The sun, nature, sea and sense of freedom are mirrored by my fashion through colours, lightness of fabrics and the feminine yet sensual touch of my collections.”

Alberta Ferretti’s namesake brand is distinguished for a signature that blends artful and often whimsical draping, tucking and twisting, delicate beading and luxurious fabrics.
