LET’S turn that question on its head and think first about why so many people are totally unsuccessful when it comes to breeding top-quality birds and exhibiting them.

I hate to say this, but I don’t think too many fanciers really understand what makes a top-quality budgerigar or, perhaps more importantly, the type of bird that’s winning the shows. We all might have personal preferences, but there is a theme running through what makes a winner.
