As an executor, can I dispose of unwanted assets?

Q I am the executor of my brother-in-law’s Will and I foresee a problem with a clause which leaves the contents of his home to be divided between three nieces. He was unmarried and lived in a rented home on a residential park. The contents do not contain any items of particular value and much of them would be unusable.
