fter directing this race for 27 years, I have seen just about everything there is to see. We have had runners break bones, snow on the course and ice storms during the race. The race was delayed 24 hours once due to snow-covered roads that were impassable. One year, wild goats were spotted during the race; I have seen them before myself, but not in recent years. There are so many stories to tell. What else could possibly happen that has not already happened? How about a pandemic? Of course, let’s make this run even more difficult to race
