WHEN LESLIE AND BOB CLARK DECIDED TO downsize from a large, formal home to a rebuilt farmhouse in Old Town, Marblehead, they hadn’t realized they’d be custom-placing their possessions piece by piece. With their estate sale foiled by the pandemic, the couple took to the internet to rehome their things. “We got rid of 6,000 square feet of furniture by text,” Bob says of the process which involved Craigslist, Facebook, and the like.
