“It should really be called ,” actor Adrian Pang explains, “because it’s meant to be a tongue-in-cheek, behind-the-scenes look at the shenanigans that us theatre folk get up to.” And between this trio—comprising Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Gaurav, this original piece of theatre is a sequel to the 2020 short film , and is conceived and written by Ken Kwek as a satirical look at how live theatre companies are struggling to survive the disastrous fallout caused by the Covid pandemic. “Little did they know that the theatre gods were plotting to take this motley and elevate it to another dimension,” as the play’s synopsis describes.
