At Daphnes, platters of Greek-themed authenticity come with endless tasty back stories.

It’s a fresh twist from the hearts and minds of seasoned Auckland restaurateurs Clare and Joost van den Berg, formerly of Odettes Eatery and Hugo’s Bistro in Auckland.

Undeterred by the fearful uncertainty that Covid-19 unleashed on the hospitality sector, Clare and Joost spent last year’s early lockdown not comfort eating for the sake of it, but developing “modern Greek food with a New Zealand twist”.
