that's life!

Welc›me!

There are times when I’m reading our wonderful mag that even say to myself But then I check myself immediately, because we are all about real life and of course it’s true!, so I’ve cringed before when she’s talked about how early she plans for Christmas. Mine is always so last minute. But Sam thought she’d write about it now, so families have plenty of time to talk about whether their gift giving will change this year, if that’s something they’d like to do. I asked around the team and mostly in their families, as with Sam’s, only the kids get Christmas gifts from rellies. I was lucky enough to grow up with a LOT of cousins and we never got presents from extended family. Otherwise, everyone would have gone broke! We certainly didn’t feel deprived, or even that we were missing out. We just loved being part of such a big group. But what works for some families may not work for others. If you have some good tips for the festive season – or any season – do drop Sam a line. She’d love to hear from you!
