MY LITTLE FIGHTER
As my son Reef, then 12, lifted his little sister Kenzi, four, on to his lap, I watched as he cuddled her tightly and chatted away to her. It was 2020 and despite his own medical needs, Reef, the eldest of our three children, relished his role as the caring older brother to Kenzi and our other daughter Payten, then nine. The girls really looked up to him, and me and my husband Ryan, 41, couldn’t have been more proud.
