Life’s a gas

I must be the only Land Rover owner who doesn’t give his vehicles nicknames. My Ninety is known as “the Ninety”. It’s been the same story with every car and motorbike I’ve ever owned. I’ve called the more troublesome ones a few choice names over the years–none suitable for repeating in a family magazine – but inanimate objects don’t get names in my book. Children and pets get names, but only so I don’t get them confused with one another.
