KICK OFF: Ethan, not many knew who you were, there wasn’t even information on the internet to find out how old you are when you made your Bafana debut. Tell us, where are you from and how did your journey in football begin?
Ethan Brooks: I was born and raised in Johannesburg and this all started at the age of five, if I remember correctly. I was at Mondeor Meteors, a local soccer team where I stay, and at the age of 10 or 11 I joined Jabez Football Academy where I met coach Lyle Bennet and he opened up my eyes and set the foundation for me as a player. I then moved on from there to Panorama FC, an amateur club in the West Rand, and I played for them until 2018.
