I LAMENT THE PASSING OF WHEN you could custom order a car. I just bought a new Hyundai Kona and had to get one of the top two models to get the turbo engine.

I bought a 1971 Old Cutlass new and ordered the F41 suspension, which changed springs and control arms, and added a rear anti-sway bar. Dual exhaust was $30, and wider steel wheels were another $5. The car was pretty much a 4-4-2 with a 350 four-barrel, and I loved it. The cover of the sales brochure showed a gold car with a beige vinyl roof.
