TO THE RESCUE!
Plotting out the design of our new extension with our architect, I was starting to get really excited about our plans.
‘The kids will finally have their own bedrooms,’ I smiled to my husband, Simon, 53.
Our children, Oliver, 14, Jacob, 12, and Lily, 10, had shared a bedroom in our small house their entire lives.
And thanks to some inheritance money, we were now able to expand the house – something we’ve always wanted to do.
‘I know a really good building firm. I’ve worked with them before,’ our architect assured us.
