SLEEP TIGHT, MTOTO
Inside the Panga ya Saidi cave in the coastal highlands of Kenya, archæologists have made a touching find some three metres (10ft) below the cave floor – the thoughtful burial of a toddler who they have named Mtoto (Swahili for child). It was a tender burial. It seems the small body had been wrapped tightly before being laid into a carefully dug, shallow and circular pit.
