I’d made good many times with a .308 bolt action and a few lovely levers of mixed calibres, but until recently, hadn’t considered using a muzzleloader for hunting. As it’s been a particularly wet and prolonged start to the North Queensland year, with ground cover growing to premium height and bulk, I decided that there was never going to be better conditions to take a step back to a more primitive style of hunting.
