Some 3.2 million households in Britain have acquired a pet since March 2020*, but this incredibly high demand for puppies has pushed prices up, which some breeders have sadly seen as a money-making opportunity. The price of puppies more than doubled in lockdown with breeds such as English bulldogs and cavapoos fetching almost £3,000. With so much money
