This beauty spot near Rugeley in gorgeous Staffordshire is popular with tourists and bike riders, but it hides a dark and sinister past – with the spooks to prove it!
Three schoolgirls were murdered in these woods in the 1960s. For many years, there have been reports of children seen in the trees with dark black eyes – yes, the infamous Black-Eyed Children – as well as a spectral child in white flowing clothing.
