At last, FINALLY, art galleries will be opening their doors to visitors in person next month. It’s been a long time coming, all very understandable, but desperately hard for those of us who require our ‘fix’ of real-life, in-person art experiences in their lives on a regular basis. Galleries have been on hold for a year, or more now, desperately trying to stay afloat. Teachers like us have had to make do with our own classrooms for stimulation, the local environment for source material, with which to inspire our students. We’ve managed, but it’s been hard. But now there are signs that we can begin to plan study visits to exhibitions again, to recharge our creative batteries. It makes the world of difference, doesn’t it?
