It’s allIt’s all about you
Looking at Jackson, I could tell he was over the moon with the animals which were in our garden.
It was 12 August 2016 – my boy Jackson’s second birthday.
My husband, Darren, 39, who I call Dal, helped me make the day special.
There were snakes, a skunk, a bearded dragon, a pygmy hedgehog and lots of different birds squawking birds.
When the big white cockatoo swooped down and landed on Jackson’s shoulder, flapping its wings, I could tell he was loving the day.
Jackson loves the crazy noises that birds make.
We kept the celebration small with just close friends and family.
The day went wonderfully.
Only, it wasn’t the second birthday we’d expected when we first welcomed our seemingly healthy baby boy, Jackson, into this world in 2014, weighing 7lb 10oz, in Basildon hospital.
