CUSTOM 60TH ANNIVERSARY 1961 LES PAUL SG STANDARD & CUSTOM

The first adverts for Gibson’s newly redesigned Les Paul signature models described them as a “solid hit”. That might have seemed presumptuous at the time but you can’t argue with the sales figures. Plus, unlike some other iconic Gibson designs, the SG, as it would become known, has never been out of production.

Other than repro ads among the case candy, and engraved and painted logos on the control cavity covers that read ‘A Solid Hit For 60 Years’, the anniversary branding has been kept to a minimum. But you’ll have to move fast if you want one – these guitars will only be available during the anniversary year.
