BRIAN SAYS… Use a tripod, and get the camera level using the electronic level, if your camera has one; a spirit level in the hotshoe also works well. Use the gridlines overlays in your camera too. For some bodies you can switch gridlines on for the viewfinder, but virtually all the gridlines can be used in Live View. Check the settings in your camera to turn on the guides.
