Collezione Michal Korecký
After a 30 minutes drive from the magnificent historic centre of the city of Prague in Czechia, one can find another magnificent setting – the Collezione Michal Korecký. Whereas the magnificence of the city is its splendid historic architecture, squares and tree lined boulevards around the Vltava river, around which it has developed over the past 1000 years, the collection is the antithesis of classic architecture. Instead one has a dynamic thoroughly modern structure secreted high in the hills, with a spectacular panoramic view of the city in the distance from its rooftop. I use the word secreted, because from the rural road on which it is situated, the buiding is almost invisible, and what little that can be seen offers no clues as to the contents!
