Fractals for Padshop 2

Padshop 2 is included in Cubase Pro and Artist, but can also be used as an individual plug-in in other DAWs. The Fractals expansion provides plenty of new samples as source material for this synthesizer, which have been processed into 150 new presets. The samples come from a tape loop set based on modified audio cassettes and supplemented by percussive, as well as analog synthesizer sounds. The corresponding limited frequency response, crackle, hiss and pitch fluctuations make for a rich, lively sound. While comparable expansions often focus on dark, ominous moods, Fractals can also create positive vibes. Steinberg therefore recommends the expansion for Lo-Fi, Ambient, Downtempo and Soundtracks.

However, many of the presets are also well suited for Retro-Pop and Synthwave in the style of the 80s. The sound quality is consistently excellent, samples and presets were created with great attention to detail and impress with a very unique and distinctive sound.
