RACING MOTIVATION

Last March, I ran my second half marathon alongside other runners. This race was different for me. I was running for a cancer charity, having lost my wonderful 23-year-old friend to the illness a few months prior. My Grandpa, too, was enduring cancer treatment, so with each step I thought of their stoicism. When I finished in two hours, I felt euphoric and grateful.
