As my horse Fintain reared up under me, I clung onto his mane and the saddle for dear life.
I’d just taken ownership of this beautiful 18hh bay gelding. Three quarters of a tonne of pure horsepower, he was skittish and difficult to handle and I was worried I’d bitten off more than I could chew.
The vet couldn’t find anything wrong with him, but I knew something was seriously troubling my new equine partner. I wondered to myself, ‘If I can help humans, maybe I can help horses too...?’ I describe myself as a ‘born empath’
