    NOT ALWAYS THE SAFEST

    Dear Sir /Madam,

    I have been towing a caravan on and off for about ten years. One of the danger points is the tow ball. Twice I have not hitched up the caravan correctly and once it dropped on the road (travelling slowly at the time). The caravan trailer coupling sat on top of the ball instead of enclosing the ball.
