Centrefire Rifle Ammunition

NORMA

Norma is one of the most recognisable brand names throughout the world of hunting and shooting. Their Strike family of ammunition now has a long-range load, Norma Bondstrike Supreme featuring the Bondstrike bonded lead—core bullet which combines long range accuracy and reliable terminal performance at any distance.

Another bonded core bullet from the Norma stable which has been increasingly popular is the Oryx which has a thin tapered jacket. The core of the Oryx is actually soldered into the gilding metal jacket which ensures the retained weight of the bullet is high whether soft tissue or heavy bone is hit. To achieve quick and rapid shock to the game, the Oryx forms a larger mushroom from deep down within the bullet body than is possible with a conventional bullet, yet it still holds together and won’t fragment on impact at short ranges.

The Call Of The Culling Season
AS WE crested the low grassy ridge we saw, through the scattered gums separating us from the open paddock beyond, a mob of maybe a dozenand-a-half young deer. It was good to see that they were very relaxed; some feeding, some bedded. About 50 metres
