ane Scott has an unusual hobby: he likes to destroy songs. Under the name Pluffnub, the hobby musician has built a YouTube channel around completely ruined versions of great pop hits. [1] There are pearls like Michael Jackson‘s “Beat It“ in a version in which no instrument plays at the same tempo. Or Queens “Radio Gaga” with a Freddy Mercury who sings a cruel tone lower than the original. The highlight, however, is “Roar” by Katy Perry, in which Katy‘s voice is in the wrong key and the instruments sound as if they are detached from each other. In the comments on the videos, the fans cheer: “This music hurts my ears and is unbearable. Keep it up!“ or “You are a legend. Stay as you are forever! ”[2] That‘s Scott‘s plan, too, as long as he doesn‘t end up in jail for his shameless copyright violations, as he once suggested.
